The MBA Concentrations of the US Engineers have reached a whopping 57%, making it one of the highest concentration of the engineering professions in the world.
This comes after a recent study found that engineering graduates earn more than $50,000 more annually than their peers from other engineering disciplines.
According to the report, the average annual earnings for a US engineer are $72,813, while those of US students are $61,912.
Engineers in general earn an average of $76,500 more annually per year than their students from other disciplines, the report says.
The survey also revealed that engineers earn more for their job satisfaction than other professionals, with 58% of those surveyed saying that they are very satisfied with their job performance compared to 40% who said they are somewhat satisfied.
As of April 2018, the US average salary for engineers was $67,837.
However, the survey also showed that the average salaries of other professions rose in 2017.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for a software engineer in 2017 was $83,945, up by 9% from 2016.
However the median salary for the equivalent positions in manufacturing and construction rose by 8% and 7% respectively.
In addition to the salary, the data also revealed the salaries of engineers and graduates from other technical disciplines.
The highest-paying jobs in engineering and science have traditionally been software engineers and software developers.
In the case of engineering, software engineers have historically been the highest earners, with an average salary of $94,000 in 2017, according to the BLS.
