Overjet Secures U.S. Patent for its Revolutionary AI Technology

Overjet (www.overjet.ai), a leader in artificial intelligence dental solutions for DSOs and insurance companies, has announced that it has received a U.S. patent (U.S. patent № 11158046B2) for inventing breakthrough artificial intelligence technology to accurately measure anatomical structures. and quantify the disease on X-rays of the teeth.

Prior to the invention of the Overjet, no software was able to accurately measure distances in X-rays of teeth without the use of calibrated objects while imaging. New AI Overjet technology eliminates the need to use third-party calibration objects. Using in-depth training, Overjet software can identify anatomical features – individual teeth, restorations, implants, CEJs, bone levels and other physical attributes – to equip dentists to perform accurate calibrated measurements and to determine pixel and millimeter ratios.

“Improving clinical decision-making to improve oral health is a cornerstone of everything we do at Overjet,” says Dr. Ward Inam, Ph.D., CEO and co-founder of Overjet. “We strive to achieve the best results for providers, payers and patients through continuous innovation in dental AI. We are incredibly proud that the U.S. Patent Office has recognized Overjet’s leadership in pioneering transformational dental technologies that promote patient care. ”

“This patent will not only help Overjet better serve our paying customers and suppliers, but is also a victory for the entire dental industry,” added Dr. Terry Dolan, Overjet’s chief dentist. “This gives Overjet a solid foundation in developing innovative technologies to improve oral health.”

This patented technology helped Overjet obtain FDA approval Overjet Dental Assist.

In addition, it gives the company an exclusive opportunity to offer this technology to its customers.

The invention of Overjet allows automated measurements, enabling many applications, including:

  • Determining the type of implant and determining the angle of inclination of the implant
  • Determination of distortion due to X-ray angles of teeth
  • Measurement of root canal length during endodontic procedures and measurement of bone level for periodontal procedures
  • Verification of medical insurance necessity based on quantitative review guidelines

Overjet is a world leader in dental artificial intelligence, helping both payers and providers improve patient care. The company was founded by experts from MIT and Harvard School of Dental Medicine, and it has assembled the largest and most experienced team of technologists and experts in the field with in-depth experience in artificial intelligence, dentistry and insurance.
