Cadence and Dassault Systèmes are partners in the transformation of electronic systems development

February 22, 2022 – Cadence Design Systems, Inc. and Dassault Systèmes have announced a strategic partnership to provide enterprise customers in a variety of vertical markets, including high technology, transportation and mobility, industrial equipment, aerospace and defense and healthcare, with integrated, next-generation solutions to develop high-performance electronic systems.

The two companies have combined the 3DEXPERIENCE Dassault Systèmes platform with the Cadence Allegro platform into a joint solution that allows companies to master multidisciplinary modeling, modeling and optimization of complex related electronic systems. With this new multidisciplinary solution, customers can accelerate the system development process from end to end, optimizing their design for performance, reliability, manufacturability, sustainability, compliance and cost.

Dassault Systèmes and Cadence have been working with leading customers for many years to prove this solution in a global environment.

Collaborative virtual duplicates combine capabilities for lifecycle management of electronic and mechanical products, business process analytics and multidisciplinary electronic systems development, engineering and tracking. This holistic virtual model provides a complete real-time view of electrical and mechanical modeling, manufacturing and supply chain performance throughout the product lifecycle, improving decision-making and accelerating innovation through “what-when” research.

Products and services are becoming more interconnected and smart, enabling consumers, citizens and patients to gain more personalized, engaging experiences that improve quality of life. In this dynamic context, companies need to quickly develop safe, high-quality and correct electronic systems from the first time. Mastering the complexity of the electronic system and the pressure due to cost and time to market requires collaborative innovations that combine electronics, mechanics and additional features throughout the value chain.

“Every industry is overwhelmed by product complexity due to electrification, security, connectivity, sustainability, AI / ML, cloud, supply chain / regulatory issues and more,” said Tom Beckley, senior vice president and general manager of custom IC & PCBs. . in Cadence. “Cadence is a world leader in the design and analysis of complex IPs, semiconductors, advanced chips, printed circuit boards and electrical systems. Combined with Dassault Systèmes ’powerful 3DEXPERIENCE platform, customers now have the opportunity to literally transform their enterprise including electronics, mechanical, manufacturing and product lifecycle. We are delighted with our strategic partnership with Dassault Systèmes, which allows the use of electromechanical “virtual twins” for rapid product implementation ”.

“Connected electronic systems raise standards in all areas of the economy of experience where the value of a product depends on its use. “Companies need to move from‘ product thinking ’to‘ thinking experience ’in development processes to deliver the experience consumers want and succeed in this economy,” said Philippe Lofer, executive vice president of global brands at Dassault Systèmes. “Our strategic partnership with Cadence will revolutionize the development of high-performance electronic systems by enabling collaboration around a virtual twin.”
