Kricker Innovation Hub to host “Transforming Communities: The Power of Entrepreneurship and Recovery”


The monthly series, which hosts a variety of entrepreneurs, aims to educate and inspire both innovators and inventors.

PORSMOUTH – On Thursday, February 24, the Shawnee University Innovation Center will host on Thursday, February 24, “Transforming Communities: The Power of Entrepreneurship and Recovery” as the next session of the Entrepreneurship Journey series.

The monthly series, which hosts a variety of entrepreneurs, aims to educate and inspire both innovators and inventors. This month’s speakers will be Michael Brody-Waite, a nationally acclaimed speaker and author, Amy Pulver, CEO of The Hope Spot, and Dale King, founder of Portsmouth Spartan Kettlebell Club and Doc Spartan Retail.

The event focuses on entrepreneurship, which helps the regenerative community through innovation, opportunity and community building. Brody Waite, a cured addict, changed his life and was recognized as a well-known speaker by TEDx, Inc. 500 Entrepreneurs, three-time CEO, Management Coach and author of “Great Leaders Live Like Addicts: How to Manage, How Your Life Depends.” Pulver is run by The Hope Spot, a non-governmental recovery organization based in Xenia, Ohio, that works to reunite families and individuals suffering from the effects of dependence on public resources. King is a nationally recognized speaker, entrepreneur and veteran who owns and operates PSKC CrossFit to help build his community. He also opened Doc Spartan in 2015, appearing in a business claims competition, Shark Tank shortly after promoting and expanding his business. All three speakers will share their stories and travels during their entrepreneurial planning and growth.
