Portland, Tenn, February 15, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Shoals Technologies Group, Inc. (“Shoals” or “Company”) (Nasdaq: SHLS), a leading provider of Electrical Balance Systems (EBOS) solutions for solar charging, storage and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, today unveiled its eMobility Innovation Center at the company’s headquarters in Portland, Tennessee.
“Live Lab” showcases best-in-class Shoals solutions for charging EV and eMobility. This allows customers to personally familiarize themselves with Fuel by Shoals ’product portfolio and solutions, and demonstrates how Shoals violates traditional ways of deploying EV charging infrastructure. Fuel by Shoals brand products provide a modular approach to deploying EV charging infrastructure and are compatible with any vendor of charging hardware and software. The eMobility Innovation Center features chargers from a variety of leading charger manufacturers.
“We are excited to introduce our eMobility Innovation Center here, at our company’s headquarters in Portland, Tennessee,” said Jason Whitaker, CEO of Shoals. “Our goal is to provide a simpler, more reliable and scalable way to deploy EV charging systems, and the eMobility Innovation Center provides an optimal demonstration of our technology, allowing customers to learn about our eMobility solutions first hand.”
The eMobility Innovation Center demonstrates how Shoals solves three major problems in the EV charger market: the traditionally high cost of installing EV charging stations, time consumption and failure to deploy EV chargers, and a lack of quality and reliability throughout the sector.
“Shoals eMobility solutions address all the key issues facing the EV charging market,” said Jeff Tolnar, senior vice president of e-mobility at Shoals. “By reducing material and labor costs, rapidly deploying EV chargers, and providing industry-leading quality through our own high-repetition production that leverages the Shoals experience in EBOS solutions, we can efficiently and cost-effectively enable scale the EV charging infrastructure to meet the rapidly growing market demand ”.
“We are honored to be part of Shoals eMobility’s Innovation Center as Shoals helps accelerate the proliferation of electrification and increase the scalability of EV infrastructure,” said Bill Leventhal, Senior Vice President, ChargePoint Products. “As EVs begin to take center stage, it’s more important than ever to have companies focused on reducing overall costs, accelerating deployment and improving the performance of charging sites, and our partnership with Shoals will help achieve those goals.”
